TIME AFTER TIME

Time is gold, they say. It is one of the most precious things that God gave to mankind. The best gift you can offer to someone. Time has lots of mysteries. It heals. It is one of the strongest forces in this world and a lot more to define time.

TYRANTS OF TIME

Time really matters a lot to everyone that’s why we became slaves of it. It really consumes us. I believe we are all tyrants of time and there are many reasons why it is so.

Everyday we rush to offices, work areas, schools etc. and aiming not to be late. We hurry for deadlines. We are always haunted by our time schedules, meetings, business presentations, and alike. We can’t always do the things we want because time doesn’t allow us. For example, we can’t shop at malls the whole time because it closes at certain time. Even our own life is limited by time. We can’t be a child for our whole life. Every minute we get older.

We often look for ways to hide our ages, like taking anti-age medicines, but in the end we looses. We can hide it for sometime but in the long run it comes out. Time is a barrier. We can’t be at two places at the same time. We are bound by time. It keeps on running and if we made mistakes we can’t go back to fix it, we can only learn from it. Time doesn’t change but it changes us. There is only 24 hours for us everyday and it is always the same.

BREAK FREE

Slavery can’t be absolutely for lifetime. Freedom is the prize of getting out from it and for time, management is the key to unlock freedom. Upon reading articles, here are some tips that I got on how to manage your time that might be useful on you if applied properly and appropriately.

1.)    Realize that we cannot actually manage time but we can manage ourselves. We must first know ourselves. What are the things that we usually do, the things that we love to do and the things that consume huge time?
2.)    Know that we only have a day with 24 hours and it doesn’t change. Learn to prioritize things. What are the things that need to be accomplished first? For example, if you have 25 tasks for that day, how many of them do you need to accomplish on that same day?
3.)    Plan your day ahead. You can use a daily planner. Set your goals for the day and stick to it. Think of the important things and devote your time on it.
4.)    Avoid time wasters. Set aside unimportant things. Forget all unnecessary stuffs.
5.)    Learn to delegate your work. You can’t do all things alone. Let others carry some heavy loads for you.
6.)    Break old habits. Get rid of the things that always stuck you on being a time waster. Then create a new routine that will help you manage your time effectively.
7.)    Seek for help. You can ask advises from friends or read more articles about time management.

Hope this will help you to start on how to manage yourself on using your time productively.
